• Roots Picnic

  1. This annual music event moves this year to Belmont Plateau with popular hip-hop and R&B artists. This year, from May 30 to May 31, there will be performers such as Jay-Z, Kehlani, Mariah the Scientist, and TI.

• Wawa Welcome America 

  1. On the Fourth of July, Jazmine Sullivan and LL Cool J will be performing at Philadelphia’s annual Wawa Welcome America festival. Here, you can enjoy great music, artists, snacks, and fireworks.

• Chinese Lantern Festival

  1. Enjoy massive, handcrafted lantern displays, illuminated sculptures, and colorful designs inspired by chinese lantern making traditions at Franklin Square from June 5 to August 16. With its festive atmosphere and lots to do and see, this is a great place to visit this summer.

• Philadelphia Cycling Classic

  1. The Philadelphia cycling classic is finally back after a decade to celebrate America’s 250th! This 14.4-mile course will take riders to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway through Lemon Hill and up the “Manayunk Wall.” They will have both men’s and women’s races for you to join or support from the sidelines.

• Major League Baseball All-Star Game and All-Star Week

  1. The 96th annual major league baseball all-star game will be at Citizens Bank Park. Before the game on July 14, there will be a range of star week activities such as the home run derby, all-star softball, MLB draft, and more.

• FIFA World Cup 26 and FIFA FanFestival

  1. Philadelphia will be hosting six World Cup matches at Lincoln Financial Field and a 39 day fan festival at Lemon Hill where there will be game watch screens, food, music, and more.

• Five Points Night Market

  1. There will be food trucks lined up during this community-centered food festival. There will be a range of food, live performances, local vendors, and activities for all ages.
